[PADA: It does appear as though the current virus process is the result of the collective karma of mistreating (and eating) animals. More and more people seem to be figuring this out.
BTW: A devotee wrote to tell me Greta Thunberg is part of some sort of conspiracy to increase taxes. OK, but she says animal slaughter is a bad idea. And she is doing more to bring awareness of this problem than this devotee is ever going to do. And she is converting people to give up eating animals. Credit should be given where credit is due. We as a group need to start messaging on these issues ourselves, and do a better job than these other folks. ys pd]
=====================
Worst of this situation is that we have been told that if schools are closed, staff cannot stay out of work to take care of their children, they must still come to work. It is already exhausting as it is , if anyone did stay home due to isolation or sickness, the rest of the staff workload increases.
The influx of samples, lab staff, nurses, Drs and porters are working non-stop round the clock and are mentally and physically exhausted and are also getting sick. The numbers of patients coming in are staggering, there are just way too many cases on top of regular routine work and we are simply cannot keep up, this creates huge backlogs and delays and we are stretched to the limit and mentally / physically exhausted.
If it is bad now, I cannot imagine how much worse it will be a month from now.
Travelling by bus and train are like being inside an incubator, so many passengers are sick, coughing and touching everything. None of the windows are open, nobody covers their mouth when coughing and sneezing, it is worrying how some are not taking precaution or bothered about spreading illness to others at this crucial time.
Prevention is better than cure.
I understand we can develop acquired immunity by being exposed to viruses and bacteria, but with the numbers of COVID-19 soaring and the death toll rising, flights being cancelled, countries taking action by refusing entry, places in lockdown, I think the best is to increase prevention measures.
If you are sick, please take measures to protect others around you, cover your mouth when cough and sneezing, and please I beg you to sanitise your hands. Better yet, do not travel if you are ill, best is to get as much rest as possible and take lots of fluids. There is no need to infect others, but try to get better yourselves. Think about this logically, NHS staff must be available 24/7, if we all get sick and cannot work, what will happen? If Drs and Nurses go ill, who will care for patients? If lab staff go ill, there won't be anyone to analyse samples and without a lab, the hospital cannot function.
Be considered of others, stay home if sick, if you must travel, take precautions not to infect others.
Sri: Closing schools? Closing supermarkets? Closing borders? What will it take to close all slaughter houses?
