[PADA: Apparently, the GBC's "Bhakti / Kirtana Fest" type programs are not really making a lot of devotees, but they do charge money to attend. So its self-evidently a business venture. In addition Radhanath's program is allegedly charging thousands of dollars to attend programs at his Eco-village. Srila Prabhupada said we should not charge money for the kirtana, or the whole thing will become a business. So BVKS is correct to point all this out as deviation.
Now us PADA folks, or Bangalore folks and / or others are being told to legally accept the GBC's authority, but their own GBC gurus like BVKS are saying the GBC's authority is bogus. How can we be asked to legally accept the GBC's authority, when their own people admit that the GBC authority is not authorized by guru, sadhu and shastra? And how can we sign a legal document that we agree with some GBC folks policy of burying pedophiles and porno swamis in the dham and etc.? And how can we accept the GBC as our legal authority, when their own shastra advisors like Basu Ghosh say the GBC are completely bogus people?
So we legally need to surrender to the GBC, but their own people -- are not surrendering to that authority? How is this going to work? Its already dysfunctional right out of the gate, we have legally accept the authority of the same people, they themselves do not accept? That is why Srila Prabhupada says the demons make contrary demands and then punish people who could not even follow these demands if they wanted to, because they are contrary.
Anyway BVKS is right, there is a growing army of independent people preaching the right thing outside their institution. Goody for that! Meanwhile a devotee wrote to tell me at the last so-called "Kirtana Fest" he went to, there was a bunch of young women wearing skin tight yoga pants, bent over doing "yoga exercises" to raise their rear end ups in the air. And he thought to himself, "what would Srila Prabhupada think of all this"? Good question! Hee hee! So BVKS is prime legal evidence for us -- that the GBC is a steaming pile of stinky deviations, and we should use his testimony to prove that no one should legally or morally accept their authority.
