Gita Jayanthi is the auspicious occasion of the appearance of Bhagavad-Gita. This is the day when Lord Krishna spoke the Bhagavad-Gita to Arjuna in order to benefit him and the whole world. Sri Krishna Balaram Mandir is celebrating this auspicious occasion in a huge way on the coming Sunday (Dec 4, 2011). There will be complete parayanam of 700 verses of Srimad Bhagavad-Gita, Gita dana, bhajans, arati and sumptuous lunch prasadam. If you or your kids or friends want to perform something for the pleasure of the Lord, please reply to this email asap.

In addition, we  have our regular Saturday program consisting of Vishnu Sahasranama recitation, bhajans and lunch prasadam on Saturday.

In summary :

Saturday program :
11:15am to 1:15pm - Vishnu sahasranama recitation, bhajans, japa yajna, discourse, arati, lunch prasadam

Sunday program (Gita Jayanti) :
9am to 1pm - Gita parayanam, bhajans, arati, lunch prasadam
4pm to 6pm - Sankirtana yajna (Distribution of transcendental literature around the Sunnyvale community - volunteers are welcome to participate in this yajna which will be full of fun).
